It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Taylor of Midlothian, Texas, born in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Taylor (Bazile) and Ernest Taylor; her sons, Juan Joseph and Alonzo DeCarlo Lopez; her siblings, Ernest II, Mary, Ernestine, Virgin, Jeanette and Emma Lou; and her great grandchild Jamari.

She is survived by: her children, Sheila M. Primus (Gregg), Joseph O. Lopez Jr. (Ruby), Traig Lopez, Savarun F. Lopez Sheila M. and Geitta C. Hawkins (Edward); her siblings, Betty (late Freddy) and Leo (Mary); and her grandchildren, Adrienna, Alonzo, Kimberly (Vince), Troykail, Lakeita, Gregory, Kavin, DeJah, Peri and Jazmine. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
