It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Gates of Midlothian, Texas, born in Telephone, Texas, who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Dooley and Georgie Kleiber Dooley. She is survived by: her husband Paul Gates of Midlothian; her daughters, Sharolyn Pumphrey (Bill) of Evant, Linda James (Roger) of Winnsboro and Sandra Nevil (Dwight) of Midlothian; and her sister Evelyn Vanaselberg. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
