He was predeceased by: his parents, James Peter Novak and Lois Marie Novak (Turskey); and his sister Diane Marie Porter (Novak). He is survived by: his stepdaughter Christina Marie Novak; his wife Nancy Sue Novak of Midlothian; his brothers, Douglas Novak of Louisiana, Dennis Novak of Ohio, Dwayne Novak of Ohio and Dale Novak of Ohio; his daughter Christina Marie Smith; his son-in-law Marc S. Smith of Texas; his daughter Kimberly Sue Goerke; his son-in-law David Calvin Goerke of Florida; and his grandchildren, Casey-Marie Bennett (Jeremy Bennett) of Tennesee, Angela Hellriegel (Joseph Hellriegel) of Florida, Travis Stephen Smith (Camrin Smith) of Texas and David Calvin Goerke "Bud" (Felicity Goerke) of Florida. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
