He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lee and Ruby Mae Fowler Smith; his siblings, Peggy, Claudia and Stephen; and his niece Penny.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Margaret; his daughters, Shelby Loper (Scott) of Midlothian, TX and Hailey Painter (James) of Midlothian, TX; his grandchildren, Collin, Caitlyn, Katie, Peyton, Carly, Cameryn, Caris and Lynlee; his great grandchildren, Addy and Logan; and his sisters, Barbara Riney of Argyle, TX and Carla Morris of Estoria, FL.
