He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Walter Barger and Martha Evelyne Wheeler; his wife Patricia Ann Crook; his children, Robert Van Barger (Susan) of Overland Park, KS and Cynthia A. Tolson (John) of Nacogdoches, TX.; his grandchildren, Carson, Madeline Barger, Laura, Michael and Conner Tolson; his sister Nelda Brackenridge of Mansfield, TX; his brother-in-law James F. Crook (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC.; his nephew Monte Maxwell (Candace); and his niece Marci Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA of Texas.
