She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Lowther and Violet Bragg Lowther; her husband John Matthews; and her son John Gerald Matthews. She is survived by: her siblings, Katie DiGioia and Dixon Lowther; and her children, Roger Matthews and Dorothy Morgan. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home (1826 US-287 BUS, Waxahachie, TX 75165). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the DFW National Cemetery.
She passed on January 24, 2025, in Midlothian, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
