Vernon Dee Stokes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2024, at the age of 85, Vernon Dee Stokes formerly of Midland, Texas, born in Arch, New Mexico passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Vernon Dee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Vernon Dee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Smith Stokes and Alma Rachel Copeland Stokes; and his daughters, Shelly Stokes Coll and Shauna Stokes Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Belva Ramsey; his sons, Shane Stokes (Kim) and Shannon Stokes (Kimberly); and his sons-in-law, Eric Coll (Kelly) and Brian Sanderson (Kim). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four sisters.
