It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rheba Sue Thompson in Midland, Texas, born in Vernon, Texas, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Grant Thompson Jr.; her parents, C. B. Couch and Myrtle Couch; and her brother-in-law Morris Grimes. She is survived by: her children, Joe Ballard Thompson (Shelley) of Stephenville, TX and Lisa; her sisters, Barbara Grimes of Spring, TX and JoAnn Iles (Buddy) of Ft. Worth, TX.; her grandchildren, Jace Thompson (Ben), Cale Thompson (Adrienne), Ryker Thompson (Jasmin), Dr. Lexi White (Tyler) and Cadan; and her great grandchildren, Kynslee, Brynlee, Grant and Cru.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McNett Funeral Home (705 N Main St, Andrews, TX 79714). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Andrews West Cemetery (1401 W Broadway St, Andrews, TX 79714).
Donations may be made in honor of Sue to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
