With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Irene Moreno of Midland, Texas, who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Moreno and Manuela Moreno; her stepmother Catalina Moreno (Delia); and her son-in-law Justen Hawk. She is survived by: her children, Angela Hawk, Tony Barela (Liz) and Kimberly Galindo (Eddy); her grandchildren, Brianna Morales (Robert Quiroz), Dominique Barela, Eddy Galindo Jr., Nathan Barela, Kaylin Galindo, Atianna Hawk and Maximiliano Galindo; her great grandchild Kai Marie Quiroz; and her siblings, Jose Moreno (Amelia), Nicolas Moreno, Cecilia Sokolowski (Kelly), Deacon Robert Moreno (Kathy) and Marcos Moreno (Carolyn). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home (2508 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine (1401 Garden Ln, Midland, TX 79701). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1401 Garden Ln, Midland, TX 79701).
