He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Holmes and James Edward Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Holmes; his children, Dewayne (Brenda Holmes), Darrell (Amy Holmes) and Donna (Steve Wootan); his grandchildren, Stefan, Braden, Alec Holmes, Taylor, Meisi Holmes, Jordan and Ryan Wootan; his great grandchildren, Boston Holmes and Morgan Holmes; and his sister Belinda Pyle.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kelview Heights Baptist Church (402 W Scharbauer Dr, Midland, TX 79705).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UT Southwestern for Parkinson's research or the Alzheimer's Association.
