He was predeceased by: his parents, Concepcion Sr. Valdez and Minerva Valdez; his in-laws, Reymundo Sr. and Hermelinda Quintero; his grandmother Juanita Valdez; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Valdez and Cesar Quintero.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda; his daughters, Estela Valdez-Castillo (Paul), Ester Valdez and Erica Valdez (Alvin); his grandchildren, Felicia (Anthony "Pineapple"), Apryl (Jesus), Aidan, Elijah (Jasmine), Donovan, Rey, Lyric, Jazlyn and Aalayzjaha; his great grandchildren, Adelaina Gonzalez of Midland and Evelina Abraham of Midland; and his brothers, Concepcion Valdez Jr. of Slaton and Gregorio Valdez (Beverly) of Waco. He is also survived by eight sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Heavenly Gate (405 N Terrell St, Midland, TX 79701). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Miguel Arc Angel (1100 Camp St, Midland, TX 79701).
