He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McDowell and Donna McDowell; his son Ross McDowell; his sister-in-law Carmen McDowell; and his nephew Claud McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn McDowell; his daughter Christine; his son-in-law Roy Maskell of Greenwood; his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Kirsten McDowell of Gretna, Nebraska; his brothers, Larry McDowell of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Gary; and his sister-in-law Karen McDowell of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
