He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Grier Smith and Glenn Smith (Lily Brunson); and his nephews, Grier and Forrest Wagner. He is survived by: his son Evan; his daughter-in-law Taylor; his grandson Bowen Brunson; and his siblings, Sam Brunson of Seattle, Tim Brunson (Lezlee) of Pukalani, Ellen Brunson-Newton (Bob) of Orcas, Christie Brunson of Eugene and Candace Brunson of Tyler. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home (3800 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Midland (800 W Texas Ave, Midland, TX 79701). A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery - Midland (1620 N A St, Midland, TX 79705).
