She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Hitzfelder and Pauline Wilhelmina Ahr Hitzfelder; her husband Wilton Schott of Mary's Catholic Church; her daughter Mary Schott; her siblings, Leo Hitzfelder (Anna Mae), Amelia Hutzler (Alex), Ella Bohl (Edward A.), Florence Becker (Ferd), Julia Tschirhart (Oscar) and Lillian Graff (Joe); and her in-laws, Cornelius and Lorine Schott.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Vnuk (Butch) of San Antonio, Larry Schott (Neta) of Quihi, Michael Schott (Jan) of Mico and Timothy'Tim'Schott (Elisa) of Mico; her grandchildren, Jay Vnuk (Elvira), Holly Beck (Brandon), Jeffrey Vnuk (Amy), Alyson Whitehead (Charles), Barrett Schott (Lori), Buck Schott (Susie), Beau Schott (Michele), Phillip Schott and Eli Schott; her great grandchildren, Danny Lopez (Katie), Brianna Vnuk (Chris), Trey Whitehead, Braxton Whitehead, Berkeley Whitehead, Bodie Schott, Hayes Schott, Tanner Schott, Clay Schott, Braden Beck, Hannah Beck, Jakob Snover (Val) and Maxwell Snover; and her great great grandchildren, Nicholas and Gabe Lopez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home (1016 Lorenzo St, Castroville, TX 78009). A rosary was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (1306 Angelo St, Castroville, TX 78009).
