She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Gatlin and Edith L. Germany Gatlin; her husband Louis Alaniz; and her sister Carolyn Knox. She is survived by: her children, Louis Alaniz (Paulette) of Prairieville and Sarah Allen (Robert) of Mico, Texas; her grandchildren, Christina Jones, Kailey Alaniz, Serena Alaniz, Robert Allen, Helena Allen and Trevor Allen; her great grandchildren, Christopher Mullins and Garry Mullins; and her brother Jimmy Louis Gatlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara's memory to Le Parc Safe Haven in Castroville, Texas.
