She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Hoffard and Florence Hoffard (Hatcher); and her siblings, Joann Miller of McKinney, James Lewis Hoffard of Quinlan, Lulu Cave of Princeton and Sue Mims of San Antonio.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Samford of Mexia; her sons, Michael G. Samford (Sandy Wachsmann) of Waco and Scotty L. Samford (Jennifer Sherrod) of Conroe; her grandchildren, Ashley, A'Rhyan, Madison and Brycson Samford; and her sister Linda Cox of Plano. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (719 S Red River St, Mexia, TX 76667). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
