He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathew Fairchild and Eva Fairchild; his wife Ruby; and his sister Patricia. He is survived by: his sons, Larry Hughes and Steve Hughes; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Nixon, Ashley Boldra, James Hughes and Blake Hughes. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
