He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie King Burleson; his parents, Lee Roy and Ima Lee Burleson; and his brothers-in-law, Howard Iley and Alfred Randolph.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Thompson (Bill) of Teague, Connie Phillips (Mike) of Mexia and Charlie Burleson (Gayle) of Teague; his grandchildren, Cliff Phillips (Jenny), Kent Phillips (Jennifer), Misty Langley (David), Tim Parolini (April), Kenneth Thompson (Cristan), John Burleson (Jordan) and Katie Burleson (Taylor Kerzee); his siblings, Jim Burleson (Karen) of Desdemona and Georgia Ann Iley of De Leon; and his sister-in-law Joyce Randolph of Dublin. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
