It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Evelyn Beard-Brown of Mexia, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester R. Johnson and Rachel D. Johnson; her husband Lawrence Brown; her siblings, J. L. Lefty Person (Marie), Wanda Bednarz, Weta Denton (James) and Dickie Lee Person; and her nephews, Jerry Butler and Terry Person.
She is survived by: her daughter Pat Adams of Mexia; her grandchildren, Melissa Easterling (Steve) of Mexia and Marc Pilkington of Mexia; her great grandchildren, Caitlin Curry (James) of Mexia, Seth White of Waco, Brooklyn Pilkington of Fairfield and Gage Pilkington of Fairfield; her great great grandchildren, Miley Jo Curry of Mexia and Rhett Curry of Mexia; her sister-in-law Violet Person of Montgomery, Texas; and her close friends, Blaine and Cindy Colbert.
Memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Limestone Cancer Support Group, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or the local VFW Chapter.
