He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Bess, Jr. and Elizabeth Johnson; his stepfather James Johnson; and his sister Debbie. He is survived by: his wife Christy; his daughter Bridgett Bess (Bryon Cole); his grandson Tanner Cole of Arizona; his daughter Courtney; his stepchildren, Renee, Danny Beldin and Brian Beldin; his sister Ginger Mann (Billy) of Magnolia, TX; his nephew Kris Mann (Tawnya); and his niece Heather Gillette (Geoffrey) of Tomball, TX.
