She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Klepper and Altha Ann Klepper (Shumate); her husband James Teer; and her brother Robert Klepper. She is survived by: her children, Nicole Teer (Shane) of Tehuacana and Scott Ivester; her sister LeeAnna Jeter; and her nephews, Brian and Russell Jeter.
Jovonna's working career included 15 years in human genetics at Duke University researching Parkinson's Disease and 10 years as a switchboard operator for the Mexia State Supported Living Center.
