He is survived by: his siblings, Evelyn Juanita Padgett, Myrian Valarie Hedrick and Samuel Maurice Padgett; his children, Myra Renay Padgett Patin (Pat) of Houston Texas, James Marion Padgett (Jodi) of Florida and Teresa Lynn Padgett Cook (Jeff) of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Casey Renay Eriksen, Leslee Jo Eriksen, Taylor Lynn Patin, Trevor Patrick Patin, Callie Padgett, Megan Cook Wenzel, Justin Lee Cook and Ty Cody Cook; and his great grandchildren, Adyian Leticia Eriksen, George Wyatt Wenzel, Atlee Dakota Wenzel, Ryan Reed Cook, Eli Evan Cook, Brenden Ethan Cook, Analesia Cook and Riot Cody Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blair Stubbs Funeral Home (605 S McKinney St, Mexia, TX 76667). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home (605 S McKinney St, Mexia, TX 76667). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cotton GIN Cemetery.
