He was predeceased by: his parents, Edney Allen and Eula Allen (Archibald); and his wife Dorothy Allen. He is survived by: his children, Pam (Red Curtis), Nelda Grider (late James Grider) of Frognot, Thomas (Kelly Hallford), Ed (Peggy Hallford) and Rhonda Matthews (Randy Engemoen) of Wimberley, TX; and his sister-in-law Maudene Allen of Mexia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Temple Baptist Church, 719 S. Red River, Mexia, TX 76667.
