He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin H. Prowell and Lula Mae Prowell; his wife Lillian Prowell; and his brothers, Bill and Ross Prowell.
He is survived by: his sons, Fred Prowell (Anna) of Pearland, Mark Prowell (Deborah) of Oak Point and David Prowell (Emily) of Weatherford; and his grandchildren, Jana, Josh, Aaron, Ben and Sarah. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
