It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Ann Smith of Mesquite, Texas, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wallace and Ettie Wallace of Dallas; and her sisters, Ava Grimsley, Brenda Palmore and Shirley Garrison.
She is survived by: her husband Mike Smith; her daughters, Jennifer Smith of Forney, Texas. and Ali Cooper of Forney, Texas.; her son-in-law Austin Cooper; her grandson Aiden Smith; her siblings, Jim Wallace (Susan), Terry Ballew and Ray Wallace (Laura); and her granddaughter Anna Grace Cooper. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grove Hill Funeral Home (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Life Church – Sunnyvale (610 US-80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Grove Hill Funeral Home (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228).
