She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Smith and Grace Smith; and her brothers, Maurice Smith of Mississippi, Robert Smith of Mississippi and Conrad Smith of Mississippi.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Joseph Groome, Jr.; her son Arthur Groome of Heath; her sisters, Arva Smith of Mississippi, Elaine Proudy of Mississippi and Betty Jo Allen of Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Brandon Groome, Shanna Hull, Teresa Wolkenfeld, Gina Welch and Jesse Richburg.
