With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Powell (Mesquite, Texas), who passed away on July 8, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Delmore Powell and Retha Vera Powell (Burns); his brothers, Bobby Jack and Darrel Grover Powell; and his grandson Casey Dean Mays.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Powell; his children, Charles May (Gayla), Sheila Sartoris (Victor) and Charlotte Gibson (Tony); his siblings, Jerry Powell and Sue Dawana; his grandchildren, Chelsie Odle, Manley (Justin), Hailey Sartoris and Gina Guevera (Richard); and his great grandchildren, Hadley, Justin Jr. Odle, Manley, Izzy, Jay and Lucian Guevera.
