He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hardy and Josephine Tillison Oakley; his wife Barbara Louise Oakley; his children, Jennifer Rose Oakley and Stephen Charles Oakley; and his siblings, William Abraham, Julius Hardy, Charles Oakley of Washington, Dessie Oneta Wilson, Bessie Loreta Schefer, Montien Elizabeth Surface, Teresa Florina Williams and Paula Marita Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Jean Marie Nixon (Curtis Ray) and Suzan Darlene McGee (Gary Glen McGee); his grandchildren, Gary Nixon (Bethany), Valerie Schefer (Evandro), Cory McGee (Marissa), Eric McGee (Krystal) and Heather Wilks; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Chloe Schefer, Harley Nixon, Maggie Trenton, Dylan, Gunner McGee, Madison and Jackson Wilks; his grandsons, Carson and Conrad Pennington; and his siblings, Joy Ellen Ewalt, Patsy Ruth Thornton and Joe Benny Oakley.
