He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter McGowan and Jane McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Ruth C. McGowan of Garland; his stepson Stephen R. Bass of Wylie; and his sons, Charles, John and James McGowan. He is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many wonderful friends.
