He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lakey; his children, Shayne Newberry (Melissa) of Merkel and Stacey Herring (Rick) of Abilene; and his grandchildren, Ricky Herring, Laura of Abilene, Meagan Packwood, Jayden of Abilene, Tyler Newberry, Carley of Merkel, Reagan Bustamante of Abilene, Austin Newberry and Kylee of Abilene. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
