It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Pursley of Merkel, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Pursley and Nola Mae Pursley (Anderson); and his siblings, David Pursley and Sandra Fatheree. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Pursley (Lucas); and his sons, Brad Pursley (Kelly), Bart Pursley (Tonda) and Brit Pursley (Krista).

Memorials may be made to the Merkel Historical Museum.
