She was predeceased by: her mother O. W. Heflin; her son Charles Raymond; her sister Blanche Kite; and her niece Janice Holland. She is survived by: her husband Marshall Wharton; her children, Blanche Elliott (Travis), James Wesley Wharton (Karen) and David Marshall Wharton (Dixie); her nieces, Brenda Heffernan (Dan) and Karen Kite; and her grandchildren, Eric Lorah, Christopher Marshall Collier (Enjalica), Anthony Ryan Collier (Nicole), Lizanne Mozelle Hatfield (Jon), Kristen Wharton and Halie Kay Kampert (Richard). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.
Donations can be made in Mozelle's honor to the Abilene Baptist Association, Hardin Simmons University, or the Merkel FBC Youth.
