We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2024, at the age of 77, Golda Evers of Merkel, Texas, born in Snyder, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Golda Evers to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Eugine Autrey and Susie Marie Morris-Autrey; her brothers, William and Emmett Autrey; her sister-in-law Maggie Autrey; and her niece Vicki Dawn Autrey-Stehling.
She is survived by: her husband Edwin Evers of Merkel; her children, Sharon Faglie (Brent) of Merkel, Michael Riley (Trina) of Clyde and Susan Evers of Omar, Washington; her siblings, James Earl Autrey (Neva) of Iredell, Ronney Autrey (Lindabeth) of Snyder and Linda Martin (Bill) of Granbury; her sister-in-law Dean Autrey of Amarillo; and her grandchildren, Cody Vickers, Clay Vickers, Jessika Henson, Christina Wright, Justin Riley, Tanner Riley, Leon Kunz and Justin Kunz. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the general fund at First Baptist Church of Merkel.
