He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Duran and Concepcion Duran; his wife Cynthia Biera; his daughter Susan Painter; and his siblings, Juan Jr., Lupe Duran and Mary Acuna.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary McConnon and Roberta Duran of San Antonio, TX; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Gutierrez (Gilbert) of Abilene, Elizabeth Painter, Alison Guillemette (Jason) of San Antonio, Cassidy McConnon of Seattle and James Valero of Abilene.
