He was predeceased by: his mothers, Iris Sampson and Iola Hockett; and his siblings, Von Ray Sampson and Anita Sampson Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Evans; his children, Beverly Blankenship (Frankie) and James C. Sampson; his grandchildren, Shannon Kirby (David) and Eric Sampson (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Zach Kennedy (Kendra), Tyler Kennedy, Haylee Burgin, Landrie Sampson and Saylor Sampson; his great great grandchildren, Avery Kennedy, McKenzie Kennedy and Lyla Kennedy; and his brother Carroll Sampson (Brenda). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
