She was predeceased by: her father Minty Ruth Johnson; her aunt Margaret "Bobby" Mooney; her sister Jerene; and her brother-in-law Thomas "Rod" Brasfield. She is survived by: her children, Dede Stepp and Jon Helms (Fay); her grandchildren, Marshall Stepp (Mitza), Michael Stepp (Ashleigh), Makenna Stepp and Nathan Stepp (Alena); her siblings, Shirley Price (Gary) and Rodney Johnson (Amy); her nieces and nephews, Sherry Price, Katie Brasfield, Beth Brasfield (Brook), Allie Johnson, Danny Price and Ronny Price (Jina); her former husband Marlie "Butch" Helms; and her friend April Stepp. She is also survived by her numerous great grandchildren.
