It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Carabez of Mercedes, Texas, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Luis Carabez; her father Jose Guillermo Lopez, Sr.; her brother Juan Lopez; and her nephew Jose "Benny" Guillermo Lopez, III. She is survived by: her children, José Eliazar Carabez (Arlene), Jesus Esteban Carabez and Marlene Victoria Carabez; her mother Elena Montelongo Lopez; and her siblings, Jose Guillermo Lopez, Jr. (Karla), Hector Lopez, Rolando Lopez, Jose Raul Lopez, Ubaldo Lopez, Rosa Torres (Jesus), Yolanda Castillo, Victoria Carabes, Petra Elnehal (Hesham), Olivia Villarreal, Jr. (Laco), Maria Del Carmen Garza (Edwardo) and Elva Maria Garcia (John). She is also survived by five grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
