He was predeceased by: his parents, Blas Alvarado Chavez and Ascencion Martinez; and his son Carmelo Alvarado. He is survived by: his wife Alejandra Colunga of Alvarado; his children, Guillermo Alvarado (Aurelia), Vicente Alvarado (Luciana), Jaime Alvarado (Laura), Martha Carrillo (Tomas), Juana Maria Carrillo (Sebastian) and Angeles Carrillo (Vicente); his brother Jacinto Alvarado; and his daughter-in-law Isabel Oviedo Alvarado.
