He was predeceased by: his parents, Agapito Ruiz and Catalina Yepez Ruiz; and his siblings, Herminia Ruiz, Maria (Refugio Medina) and Adan Ruiz.
He is survived by: his children, Guadalupe Ruiz Jr. and Cecilia Ruiz; and his siblings, Joe Ruiz (Ro9sa), Jaime Ruiz (San Juanita), Juan Ruiz, Manuel Camarillo (Lupita), Ruben Camarillo (Dalia), Martin Ruiz (Rachel) and Janie Meza (Rafael). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
