It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gildardo Cabrera of Mercedes, Texas, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zacarias Cabrera and Dominga Cabrera; and his siblings, Jesus Cabrera, Alfonso Cabrera, Enriqueta Cabrera and Amelia Cabrera.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cabrera; his children, Leonardo Cabrera (Yesenia), Francisco Cabrera (Maria Luisa), Rolando Cabrera (Jessica), Oscar Cabrera (Santa), Claudia Garza (Roel), Mayra De Leon (Jose Luis), Violeta Garza (Jesus) and Cynthia Veaz (Jesus); and his siblings, Francisco Cabrera (Isabel), Eliseo Cabrera and Lydia Delgadillo. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
