With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delia DeLeon of Mercedes, Texas, born in La Feria, Texas, who passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Delia DeLeon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Juventino I. of León; her daughter Teresa of León Acevedo; her grandson Juan Carlos Barrera; her parents, Severo Ruelas and Rosario González Ruelas; and her siblings, Juan Severo Ruelas, José Roen Ruelas, Juan Alberto Ruelas, Petra Ruelas Hamilton, Mary Helen Ruelas Olivares and Rosa Ruelas Peña.
She is survived by: her children, Beatrice of León Edwards, Gilbert P. of León, Francisco L. of León, Rebecca of León Wyche and María Cecilia (Juan) of León García; and her siblings, Roberto Ruelas, Guadalupe Ruelas and Dora Ruelas Alonzo. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, and to minimize health risks to Delia's loved ones, final arrangements will be private.
