It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfredo Gonzalez (Mercedes, Texas), who passed away on January 2, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roque Gonzalez and Hortencia Gonzalez; his sister Raquel; his nephew Francisco Garcia, Jr.; and his mother-in-law Eloisa C. Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Mercedes M. Gonzalez; his children, Melissa Ann Gonzalez, Alfredo Gonzalez, Jr., Angela Rodriguez (Esequiel), Juan A. Gonzalez and Marcos G. Gonzalez (Crystal); his grandchildren, Alfredo M. Gonzalez, Julissa Becerra, Kailey Rodriguez, Derick G. Gonzalez and Dominick M. Gonzalez; his stepgranddaughter Rebecca L. Salazar; his great grandchildren, Jaiden, Adrian and Ava Hines; his brother Roque Gonzalez (Josefina); and his brothers-in-law, Carlos S. Martinez (Maria Elena) and Gilberto Martinez (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
