She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Temple Yates and Nell Decker Yates; her parents-in-law, George and Juanita Smith; her brother Temple Yates; and her husband Jerry Don Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Whitney Schkade (Jeff), Jennifer Paul and Jaden Smith; her grandchildren, Wilson Schkade, Parker Schkade, Elizabeth Paul Michener (Zac) and Katherine Paul; her sister Jo Lynne Harwell (James Edward); and her close friends, Katherine Allison King, Lauren Nicole Pettigrew and Beverly Ann Ray.
