She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Caka and Natalia Caka (Hagendorf); her grandson Jeffery Petru; her sister Marie; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Caka, Robert Pohler, Lawrence Kelly and Franklin Huser.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Petru of Shiner; her children, Susan Allen (Barry) of Seguin, Eugene Petru of Lufkin, William Petru (Melanie) of Shiner and Donnie Petru (Brenda) of Gonzales; her grandchildren, Kevin Petru (Farrah), Daniel Allen (Katie), Jamie Kalisek (CJ Wilson), Laura Mills, Morgan Mills (Jenna), Brandi Pish (Dusty), Elizabeth Crow (Kelby) and John Petru; and her siblings, Stacy Huser, Pauline Kelly, Patsy Wegener (Perry), Frances Randow (George), Carolyn Gilbert (Billy), Theodore Caka, Robert Caka (Joy) and Kenneth Caka (Debbie). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Daughters.
