It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Juanita Medina Vela of Melissa, Texas, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Juan Medina; her husband Eliseo Vela; and her mother Eugenia Carreno (Carreno). She is survived by: her children, Evaristo Vela, Eliseo Vela Jr. (Yvette), Maria E Vela, Elias Vela (Sandra) and Belinda Vela; and her siblings, Irene Medina, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, Gloria Alvear, Mario Medina and Reynaldo Medina. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
