He is survived by: his wife Paula Dawn (Shirer) of Melissa, Texas; his grandsons, A. J. Newton (Elizabeth) of Sugar Land and Michael Newton of New York City; and his great grandchild Amelia Newton. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
