She was predeceased by: her parents, Geneive Hubble Whitehead and Ervin C. Whitehead Sr.; and her husband Rex Simons. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Simons of San Antonio, Judith Simons (John Salazar) of Kerrville, Allen Simons (Lorraine) of The Woodlands and Michael Simons of Medina, Texas; her brother E. C. Whitehead Jr. (Sandy) of Medina, Texas; and her grandchildren, Anthony (Daniel Oranday), Johnny (Gwen Salazar), Evie (Rafael Ruiz) and Maximus Simons.
