She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mitchell Rouse and Pearl Ruth Gilliam Rouse; and her siblings, Edna Pearl Rouse Cadenhead and Bobby Wayne Rouse. She is survived by: her sister Lois Rouse Glover; her husband Vernon Albert Richardson (V. A.); her children, Duuna Ruth Richardson Hickner and Vernon Albert Richardson III (Bert); her grandchildren, Andrew and Duuna; and also, Hayden Hickner, Hayley Hickner Wade, Hannah Hickner, Bert, Bridgette, Brittany Richardson Riggs, Bailey Richardson Ellis, Braden Richardson, Amy and Jace Richardson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel (98 Dixie Dr, Lake Jackson, TX 77566). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Edith's contributions to her community were invaluable, and she was deeply loved by her family and friends.
