He was predeceased by: his father Carey Cannon Jones; his grandmother Celeste Wright; and his mother Ida Jean Chapman (Chapman). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Jones; his daughters, Melissa Byers and Heather York; his sons-in-law, Michael Byers and Leslie York; his grandchildren, Camryn Byers, Daron York, Kennedy Byers, Kaylin York, Kierra York and Colby Byers; his brother Gregg Merrell; his sister-in-law Paula Merrell; his sister Cynthia Mims; his brother-in-law Gene Mims; his brother Rusty Merrell; his sister-in-law Diann Merrell; and his nieces and nephews, Tommy, David, Abigail, JoAnna, Niccole, Lauren, Ben and Jacob.
