He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar John Laechelin, Jr. and Valley Imogene Hamilton Laechelin; his daughter Laurie Gonzales; and his grandparents, Edgar T. Laechelin, Sr., Hulda Laechelin (Blumberg), Clark Hamilton and Ruth Ilene Hamilton (Egley).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Marie Laechelin; his daughter Carrie Tenpenny (Robert); his grandchildren, Anna Tenpenny, Julia Tenpenny, Ava Tenpenny, Brendon Gonzales and Cameron Gonzales; and his former wife Olga Skolnik.
